Car wash in Tokai
Thunder Brothers at Steenberg Village in Tokai washes every car by hand. There is no conveyor and no spinning brush anywhere on site, because brushes are what put fine scratches into a clear coat. It is one of our Western Cape branches.
Nothing here runs on appointments. Drive in whenever suits you, pick a package at the desk, and the car is done while you are in the centre. There is no waiting list and no deposit.
The Usual wash starts at R 220 and covers a hand wash and dry, an interior vacuum, tyre shine and a mag clean. Above that sit the wax and polish packages, and the Royal Treatment at R 900, which is a full interior deep clean of the roof, carpets and seats. Individual add-ons can go on any package. This is also one of the ten Thunder Brothers branches fitting Willard batteries, so a flat battery can be sorted in the same visit as the wash.
Opening hours, the address and the full price list for this branch are on this page. If you are weighing up a car wash in Tokai, the short version is that we hand wash, we do not take bookings, and the price you see is the price you pay.
Common questions
Question: How much is a car wash in Tokai?
Answer: The Usual wash is R 220 for a small car, R 240 for a medium one and R 260 for a large vehicle. That covers a hand wash and dry, an interior vacuum, tyre shine and a mag clean. Wax, polish and full interior packages cost more, and the full table of prices for this branch is on this page.
Question: Do I need to book a wash at Steenberg Village?
Answer: No. This branch does not take bookings. Drive in during opening hours, choose a package at the desk and leave the car with the team. Most customers use the time to do their shopping and collect the car on the way out. There is no deposit and no waiting list.
Question: Is the car washed by hand?
Answer: Yes. Every car at this branch is washed by hand, with mitts and buckets. There is no tunnel and no spinning brush on site. Brushes are what put fine swirl marks into a clear coat, which is why we do not use them anywhere in the group.
Question: Can I get a car battery fitted at Steenberg Village?
Answer: Yes. This is one of the ten Thunder Brothers branches that fit Willard batteries, so a flat or failing battery can be dealt with in the same visit as the wash. The other branches do not carry batteries.
