Car Valet Services
A car valet is the full clean, inside and out, and Thunder Brothers has been doing them by hand since the first branch opened. There are 47 branches across South Africa and every one of them offers a car valet, from a wash and vacuum through to a deep clean of the seats, carpets and roof lining. No booking is needed at any of them.
What a valet covers
Outside, the car is hand washed and dried, the arches get silicone, the mags are cleaned properly rather than rinsed, and the tyres are dressed. Inside, the carpets and seats are cleaned, the plastics are wiped down and the glass is done last so it stays clear. The engine bay can be cleaned as part of it.
That is the standard. A full valet goes further and takes the interior apart properly: seats and carpets shampooed, leather treated, roof lining done, and odour dealt with at the source rather than sprayed over.
The packages
- Usual. Hand wash and dry, interior vacuum, tyre shine, mag clean. R 140 to R 260.
- Superior. The Usual plus silicone on the arches, an engine clean and more time on the car. R 240 to R 360.
- Duck’s Back. The Usual plus high definition wax and leather treatment. R 400 to R 600.
- Special. The Usual plus a hand polish and leather treatment. R 400 to R 600.
- Royal Treatment. Exterior wash with a full interior deep clean of roof, carpets and seats. R 700 to R 1200.
Prices move a little between branches. The full price list has the ranges and every branch page carries its own exact figures.
Valet or just a wash
Most cars need a wash most of the time. A car valet is worth it when the inside has been lived in: a family holiday, a house move, a dog in the back, or a car about to be sold or handed back on a lease. Sellers get the most out of it, because a clean interior is the first thing a buyer reads the car by.
If you are unsure, ask at the branch. The team would rather sell you the R 200 wash you need than the R 900 valet you do not.

Any package can be built on. Leather care R 200, chassis clean R 150, engine clean from R 150, claybar from R 500, polish R 250, machine buff from R 400, wax R 300, headlight restoration R 500, seats only R 500, carpets only from R 350, baby seats R 150 and roof lining R 300.

Drive in when it suits you, there is no appointment system and no waiting list, and the work is done while you are in the centre.
